Fairview Church of Christ has several church programs we support to give back to our community

  • Fairview Food Pantry

Our food pantry opened its doors in November 2009. At the start, it was our goal to serve five to seven hungry families through the Voluntary Action Center. Since those early days more than 15 years ago, we have grown immensely and now have the opportunity to assist 15-18 families every month. They receive nonperishable food as well as personal care items for family members of all ages.

The Fairview Food Pantry is stocked and operated by members of our congregation and we are so happy we can share what we have with families in our community. To learn how you can become involved, contact us or speak to a member of our leadership team after our next service.

  • Project Linus

The youth at Fairview Church of Christ are also involved in our community outreach programs. Our K-5th grade youth get together every January to participate in Project Linus. This national organization, which hosts chapters in all 50 states, provides handmade blankets to children in the community facing illness, trauma, or need.

Over the last several years, the children at Fairview Church of Christ have donated more than 150 blankets to kids in the community just like them. Beyond our work making blankets, the Linus Project has delivered more than 10,000,000 blankets to children all over the country. Help your child develop a loving, giving heart when they participate in Project Linus this January.

  • Warm-Up Columbia

Every fall, Fairview Church of Christ collects warm coats, winter hats, gloves, scarves, socks, and blankets to donate to a rotating list of community organizations. Families need these items to make it through the harsh mid-Missouri winters, and it is our mission to help outfit as many families as possible with the necessary winter items they need. Make your own donation or participate in collections this fall at Fairview Church of Christ.

  • Christmas Families

The Christmas season can be challenging for families who are struggling in the Columbia, MO community. That is why Fairview Church of Christ partners with Love Columbia to collect toys and clothing to give families the Christmas they deserve. Thanks to the generosity of our congregation, we are able to support anywhere from five to nine families each holiday season. To help participate in this yearly blessing, reach out to Fairview Road Church today.
